Robert C. Rowland, Ph.D.

Senior Consultant

 

Robert Rowland has a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas, where, as an undergraduate, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1976 and graduated with highest distinction in 1977. An active faculty member at the University of Kansas since 1987, Dr. Rowland has been chair of the department of Communication Studies at the University of Kansas since 1999, full professor since 1996, and was Director of Forensics there from 1988 to 1991. From 1983 to 1987 he was assistant professor and Director of Forensics at Baylor University.

 

Since 1994 Dr. Rowland has taught speaker training for the Continuing Legal Education Program of the Kansas Bar Association. A recipient of the Kansas Bar Association Greatest Hits Award for “Appellate Oral Arguments,” he also received the Outstanding Service Award from the Kansas Bar Association in 2003.
